I’ve never paid so much money for hard-soled slippers, but have heard wonderful things about Giesswein and I am really sold on the fact that they’re not made in China and have no synthetic materials. Sadly they REALLY hurt! I wore them around for several hours in the house and there’s a massive gap between the top of my feet and the lip of the shoe. So every step would bang the top of my foot. Had to remove them and now they’re just sitting in a box. I’m a pensioner so it’s hard to waste that much money 😕

The boot is well proportioned, comfortable and offers good support on uneven terrain. At present deep mud! The only thing I'd like to have benefited from is a softer ankle rim of the boot although this is adjustable to keep it comfortable enough. I like a really soft part about an inch wide but I have somewhat sensitive skin around the ankle. Over all I am very content with the boots and look forward to lots of walks with my collie dog.
